Department of German Language and Literature

In terms of scientific publications, the department has a remarkable record. Our faculty members have written and continue writing monographs, chapters in edited volumes, articles in peer-reviewed journals, and articles in refereed conference proceedings. Publications, which have been in the areas of linguistics, didactics and teacher training, German and comparative literature, as well as cultural studies, have mostly appeared in international journals or with international publishers. Our faculty has also edited several volumes with international publishers and serves on the editoral board of such prestigious journals as Comparative Journal of Germanic Syntax (Springer), Hellenogermanica (Peter Lang Publishing), Linguistic Inquiry (MIT Press) and Syntax (Wiley).
